General Manager- Job Posting Asheville Summary
The General Manager will serve as head of his or her respective unit from an operational standpoint. The GM will interact with the franchisee and/or corporate headquarters to maintain a standard of operating. The GM will oversee the unit based on the following priorities: consistent and exceptional product quality, customer service, employee satisfaction, and an organized and effective management team characterized by integrity and responsibility. The position will include full responsibility for front and back of the house operations, and collaborative responsibility for marketing, accounting, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities included but not limited to the following:
For day to day operations
Reporting and implementing company policies, procedures and decisions
Analyze financial performance and improve profitability
Recruitment of new staff
Maintain employee relations, quality, and customer service standards
Interact with guests
Maintain and exceed budget
Ensure consistent delivery of "Fresh Food"
Maintain "A" rating hygiene and sanitation levels
Provide continuous training, development, and the promotion of all restaurant
Assist corporate in analyzing customer and employee feedback on restaurant performance
Responsible for improving the company's capability to improve restaurant operation standards
Assist and counsel corporate with local ordering, receiving, and set up of all equipment for restaurant openings, conversions, new product initiatives and marketing programs
Assist and counsel company owners on implementing approved systems and tools for food costs and payroll control
Assist with company legal, accounts receivable, procedures and requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Must have 3-5 yr of management experience within the restaurant/retail industry with a proven track record within a profitable organization, leading and supervising both single and multiple units
Track record of best practices in all aspects of management, including public health and safety, sanitation, and human resource management
Back office organization POS Systems and basic accounting
Knowledge of computer applications, specifically MS Office
Understands the principles of retailing as they pertain to the importance of customer service
Ability to successfully manage people and organizations through the influence rather than the authority
Outstanding interpersonal skills
The ability to provide leadership and to forge strong relationships with all company staff
